This little boy went to the Dr yesterday for his 2 year visit! The second we walked into the room he threw a fit! Poor bubs was scared the whole time - he totally remembers and knows we go there to get shots! Ugh it was a battle to even get his measurements! But we got them! His last visit was 6 months ago... and here's how he did!

Weight: 24.8 lbs (10th %)
Height: 33.5 inches (25th %)
Head: 40th %

In 6 months he grew 2 whole inches! But only gained 2 pounds... Still pretty skinny, but most importantly he is healthy!!

Well that face was NO WHERE to be seen until we left that office! Holy crap... Wrestling a 2 year old so the dr can look in his ears was my work out for the day!
BUT... after a 3 hour, yeah you read that right. A 3 HOUR NAP... he was up and ready to play outside with dad! (Good thing cuz I NEEDED to watch the Bachelor Finale that I missed! EMILY! ♥ her!)
Yay for Spring Break and having dad home after work... {ALL WEEK}!!

Today was BEAUTIFUL!! Sunny, spring weather! We just HAD to get outta the house after church and naps! So... this is my attempt at photography and photo editing. Not perfect. Wish I knew the "real" tricks. But I like how they turned out.

Plus... my model was in the CUTEST mood!

Disney on Ice!

We took Jaxon to Disney on Ice tonight! Very cute and very fun! Jaxon liked it... when he recognized the characters! Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Buzz, Woody, Stitch, etc....
The princess stuff he didn't love, but it was still fun! He did pretty good considering it was past his bedtime!

Think we could get him to look at the camera with Mickey on stage... ha yeah right!MY favorite part.... I LOVE Jasmin. When I was little I wanted to be her!!During the intermission I took Jaxon out to stretch his legs a little. He was being so silly hiding behind the pillars!
While we were out playing he stopped. dead in his tracks. Looked up at me with a very serious face and said... "Uh oh... where's Mickey?"
So back in we went to see the rest of the show! He liked the 2nd half much better! Familiar faces!!And it helped that dad got suckered into a new toy... which he LOVED!! :)

The Big 2!

Today Jaxon is 2!

It's official.
I can no longer deny it.
This little, little baby...
Is now this big boy...
He woke up to a few surprises..
New recliner chair, car mat, balloons and of course toys and books!
Then off to the Discovery Gateway Kids Museum.Then after nap time it was PARTY time!! Lightning McQueen style!A few family members joined us in our little home.
And he got MORE fun presents!The goods included.. puzzles, clothes, cars, trucks, movies, and a basketball hoop! He LOVES them ALL! A HUGE HUGE HUGE thank you to our awesome families!

Well my Jaxon wanted nothing to do with it.We forced a little destruction... but he just wanted to get down and play.
Nothing like last year...Haha Oh well.

A storm is supposedly coming tomorrow.... and through the weekend. More snow, more cold. Please don't tell me I'm the only one who just wants this.... I have a busy toddler who is ready to run in the grass! And I have some legs that need some sun! :)

I Love Us!

Thanks Hallmark for the cheesy Valentines Day quote! :) Cheesy or not, it's perfect!

I got my Valentines Day present early! A little scavenger hunt with roses and chocolate covered strawberries....and at the end I found this!!!The 2nd band on my wedding ring! LOVE it! LOVE him! LOVE getting spoiled! :)

So... what did I do to show the people I love they are special? Well I can't measure up to what the hubs did. BUT I tried. Jaxon woke up to a balloon, a firetruck, some mini dinosaurs, and candy!

Yes, I let him have a sucker at 8:30 in the morning! It's Valentines Day! He needed to feel the love too! :)

Then, balloons, flowers and bagels hand delivered by yours truly and a grumpy toddler to my sister and mom. We also took Joel his favorite lunch! We spared him the balloons! AND that night Joel and I went and got a couples massage!

Hope your Valentines Day was lovey-dovey, romantic and fun! I love my Valentine! (who I didn't take a picture with! Sad!) And I love my mini Valentine! :)

Yep, Terrible Twos

I went to Smiths today, but I went at 1:00.... naptime! Bad Idea, I know! So I rushed through grabbing the things we needed the MOST! I wanted to avoid a melt down!

The Checkout!

Now someone please explain why something about the check out stand means run away.

Ugh! So I pick up my runaway child, and that did it! You moms out there know what I mean! The kicking, screaming, "the world is ending" kind of fit! Joy.

{Of course I got death glares from half the people around me... Listen old grumpy man in the aisle NEXT to me, I AM TRYING HERE OK!! And I am not holding up your line! So enough with the glares and scoffs! Besides I stood behind you at the deli and you took a freaking year to decide what kind of ham you wanted!}

Ok, moving on to the point of the story! Of course this is all happening as my things are being rung up. So I know in about 1 minute I have to stop the wrestling match, pull out my credit card, enter my pin, answer all the stupid "cash back?" "is this amount ok?" blah blah blah!

I tried it all... "Jaxon do you want a treat? Do you want your juice? Where's lightning mcqueen? Jaxon stop, that's enough."

All the sudden the cashier lady says "Jaxon, do you want a sticker?"

This threw us both off guard, 1. because she used his name and 2. because let's be honest, she looked a little mean!

IMMEDIATELY Jaxon STOPS. everything... no crying, whining, kicking, screaming. This angelic face appears saying "Sticky, Sticky, Sticky!" (sticker) And he sat in the cart the rest of the time quietly playing with his "sticky'!

Thank you check out lady at Smiths! You saved what was left of my sanity! :)
As we were leaving, I told Jaxon to say thank you. Instead he blew her a kiss!

The sun was out today!!! Deceiving because it was still freezing, but it was sunny! It brightened my week!As much fun as this snow was for Jaxon, I hope Punxsuntawney Phil was right this year! I am ready for spring! :)
