Random Update

The last week has been pretty low key, hanging out with family mostly. Here are just some random pictures of the last week or so! It has been the perfect amount of busy and fun!

We went to a Chilean party! It was a celebration of their indepence. We met my moms friend there and ate some YUMMY food! Jaxon loved watching everyone sing!

He has been spoiled up until now and we would hold his bottle, or I would prop it up with a blanket. He knew how to hold it, he just liked when we did it! So the last week we have made him do it! He gets excited and will hardly let us hold it now! Aw this makes my life easier!

Cuddling with Dad before bed.

We have spent as many evenings and afternoons in the canyon as we can! We decided we wanted to get some time in before it's WAY to cold! How cute is Jaxon in a beanie? Just like his daddy!

And of course he LOVES playing at Grandma and Grandpa Brown's house during the BYU games! He was very excited they won!

Funny Faces

Our little guy is the happiest boy ever!!!! And maybe I am biased but I think he is soooo cute! But the kid seriously makes the FUNNIEST faces when we try to take pictures... Here are a few for your laughing pleasure! This first one KILLS me... we were all laughing so hard at this one! It doesn't even look like him!

And of course here is the sweet face I get to see all day!

Fresh Air - Saying Good Bye

On Friday, September 11, 2009 my moms beloved older brother passed away. He lived in Venezuela and died peacefully with his family. He is no longer suffering with the disease he had and is a better place now. He was never baptized, but I know he will recieve the opportunity to accept the gospel on the other side. He is and always will be greatly missed. I am so proud of my mom and her whole family for the strength they have shown and how they have all pulled together to get through this together even if they are somewhat seperated from each other. Only my grandma and his immediate family were able to attend the funeral and burial, my mom and her sisters and brothers all live here in the US and did not have time to get there.
I have very few memories of him and hardely even remember meeting him because he lived in Venezuela my whole life. But the pictures I have seen of him and the stories I have heard make me miss him regardless.
On Saturday night Joel and I decided to take my mom up the canyon for tinfoil dinners and to get some fresh air. Thanks hun for all of your work getting the food and fire ready!
It was a beautiful night and while it was still light we played Catch Phrase and just hung out and talked. We had a good time enjoying my mom and trying to help her feel better and help her know she is not alone!

Jaxon was mesmerized by the fire! He loved watching it! It got cool up there, but he was an angel!

This is Joel after he ripped down like half a tree to make something to get our tinfoil dinners out of the fire! haha We even forgot everything that night.. including forks!

Thanks for coming with us mom! It was fun even if we did have to eat in the dark after our lantern died! :)

Lagoon

Friday we went to Lagoon for my dads work party. The last time we have been to Lagoon was over 3 years ago when Joel and I were dating! Going back with a baby is so fun! He isnt big enough to ride anything yet, but we did take him on the carousel! He was pretty mad at me at first, but once it got started and the frog started going up and down he got really excited and decided he liked it!

We all took turns watching Jaxon and riding rides... but my FAVORITE part was when I did the Bungee swing thing!!!! Oh my gosh it was the funnest thing ever!!! Thanks dad! It was so worth it! I honestly could do that every day and it would never get old! It makes me wanna go skidiving even more now! Here are some pictures, but it was dark, so its hard to see very much!

Here is the group of us that went!

We are getting raised up to the top... 150 feet! Waahoooo!!

FLYING!!!! It was awesome! I have always dreamed about being able to fly! Something I got from my dad and grandpa!

Joel, Jaxon and a few others didnt want to go, so they just waited for us at the bottom. They missed out!!! It was a really fun night, and the weather was a little cool, but it felt good!

Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day weekend this year was GREAT! It's so great to be around our families to hang out with! We started off the weekend right with the BYU game!!! Go Cougars!

Jaxon and his grandparents in their BYU apparel.

We also spent time with my mom she made us an AMAZING sunday dinner and my cousin came over. Of course I didn't take any pictures :( But we did play lots of games and enjoyed each others company.

After church on Sunday Joel decided he want to go up the canyon for a little drive. So of course we took some pictures! It was a BEAUTIFUL day!

Check Up

I took Jaxon for his 6 month check up on Friday. He is still healthy and growing! Here are his "stats" :)

14 lbs 14 oz (8th percentile)
25 3/4" Long (25th percentile)

Still on the smaller size for his age, but the doctor said he is doing great and growing well!
He had to get a shot in each leg! :( It made us both cry this time... he was really upset but got cute Hot Rod cars stickers!
After the Dr. appointment I went to my moms work to see her friends. While we were waiting for her to go to lunch and Jaxon decided he wanted to sit in her chair. Thanks for coming to lunch with me mom! It was fun!
