My sister Stef sent us a surprise a couple weeks ago! These REALLY cute pajamas... they have cars and monkeys on them! So cute! Thanks sis your such a sweet heart! I tried to take pictures of him... but he is so wiggly and active now almost all of the pictures are blurry, or at least his hands are blurry! He is so fun and looked really cute in these!

He has so much personality and makes so many facial expressions that make us laugh!

Goals

Today I have decided to make a few goals for myself. Now I am not calling them the oh-so-typical New Years Resolutions... because I am WAY behind (It's June... Wow). But sitting here today I have decided to not only set these goals, but to post them on my blog to help my commitment to them.

1. Will put my scriptures on the couch and read them EVERY morning while I feed Jaxon.
2. Will go to the gym 2-3 times a week for an hour (ugh.. getting into the habit is hard!) This includes letting my hubby go the days I don't.
3. Will breastfeed until Jaxon is 6 months old! (He is really struggling with this still and loses patience with me most days... I don't want to give up yet, so we will keep working on it.)
4. Stop stressing the little things so much!! Sorry hun! ( Not every house is spotless every single day right?)
5. Stop biting my nails! (This has been an issue since I got teeth... annoying habit that I have tried to kick a million times!)
6. Go to the temple once a month. (Gotta start somewhere right? Any takers on babysitting?)

This is enough for now... I hope I can stick to them and start improving. For myself.

Update on my baby!

Little Jaxon.... you turn 3 month old tomorrow!!! Crazy! He is a pretty good baby. He sleeps well at night most of the time. He eats and goes to bed around 7:30-8:30pm and then only wakes up once at about 3-4. Then he is awake and alert and ready to go around 6:30. I can't complain too much! I know that if I were able to stay up till 10:30 or so he would sleep through the night, but by 8:30 or 9 I am ready for bed! haha So for now this schedule is working! He looks so cute and peaceful when he sleeps! I just wanna kiss those little lips!

Jaxon LOVES his binki when he is getting ready to go to sleep! But for some strange reason.. he really has a hard time keeping it in his mouth! He really wants it... but sucks on it funny and it flies out of his mouth! So we have resorted to this.... :)

This was today when I got home... he was making the funniest faces, but I could only grab the camera and get these shots! The first one is with his onesie on his head! lol Such a dork!

He has also just recently found his hands!!! He keeps himself very entertained with that now! He has also started swatting at his toys on his bouncy chair! It really is crazy how quickly they learn! He is very alert and interested in the world around him! We love how interactive he is right now!

Cafe Rio Recipe

So after posting/bragging about our amazing dinner... I decided I would post the recipes just in case anyone is interested!
Follow this link to see the recipe for the pork, dressing, and cilantro rice. I have found that using this recipe makes this pork kind of spicy... but its really yummy!!! I think it's the chilies in adobo sauce that give it more of a kick then the "original" version. But I like it! I know there are other recipes that don't include it, but we haven't tried them. Oh and we don't even use the dried mustard.
And I know the 18 hours of cook time is a LONG time! But it is so worth it! And its super easy...
The dressing calls for a lot of cilantro... but we use a little less so it's not so strong! But it turns out PERFECT!!!

Mmmm

We just ate a very delicious dinner!!! We made CAFE RIO PORK and the amazing dressing... combined them together and made the infamous CAFE RIO PORK SALAD!! I love that my husband is a great cook! What would I do with out him? Anyway the food turned out great, and our whole house smelled so good all day long! The pork took 18 hours to cook... but oh was it worth the wait! I LOVE cafe rio and miss it so much, but this is almost as good! And probably cheaper because we have TONS of left overs! :) bu

I can't wait to have more... but right now I am so full! Who ever came up with the Cafe Rio recipe and opened the restaurant... my hat comes off to you! You are my hero! :)

Happy Birthday Danielle!!!

So yesterday was my best friends birthday... technically she is my cousin-in-law, if there is such a thing! But who cares, we are very close either way! Anyway, she just got home from serving a mission in Nashville, TN and did an amazing job! I am so proud of the work she did, and all of the things she taught me while she was there! She is a great example to me and carries a very special spirit with her!

Danielle, you seriously have been a huge influence in my life and I am so thankful to have you as a friend!! You are so much fun and we can always count on you to bring a smile into the room!

I can't tell you how excited I am that you are home so we can talk and hang out like we used to!

I love you so much and hope you had a good birthday... And I hope your not mad at me and Kierra for decorating you room! Ok lets be honest we made a mess with confetti, ballons, and streamers!!!! :) But it's cuz your the best!

Memorial Day Weekend

Mmmm 3 day weekends!!! We had a great relaxing break from work! On Monday we went with Lon and Trudie to their ward BBQ. It was SOOOO humid and muggy, but we still had fun and the food was pretty good!

I LOVE Danielle so much! She is finally home and we can't get enough of her! I really missed her and am having fun hanging out with her! After the picinic we took her to see her first movie since coming home from her mission.... Angels and Demons. We all LOVED it!

This is how Jaxon was the whole time... dead asleep! I guess he was pretty tired! But isn't he cute?!?! :)

This is Joel and Rachael... they have such a special relantionship! She adores Joel and is always running to play with him! And don't tell the other kids, but she is his favorite! She has a special place in his heart and gets spoiled by him!

Do you think she is having fun? She was squealing and laughing like crazy the whole time!!!
