Halloween 1..2..3..

Our little Nemo had a very busy Halloween weekend!

~Part 1~
Daddy's work Trick or TreatJaxon got to trick or treat at Joels work! This was his first time trick or treating and he caught on so fast! It doesn't look like it in the pictures, but he had a blast! This was towards the end and he was getting hot and grumpy.~Part 2~
Lagoon Day with Gma and Gpa Brown!

He got to ride lots of kiddie rides all by himself for the first time! He loved them!
"Whoa!!"His favorite were these cars! He would have gone 10 times in a row if we let him!~Part 3~
Trick or Treat!

After a long, fun day at Lagoon, we went home to get all dressed up for the night! Well it rained and rained so our neighborhood/ward decided to have everyone meet at the church to trick or treat. Let's just say it was a good idea but a little chaotic! Jaxon, after being up all day, was not in the best of moods.... so no super cute pictures of my adorable Nemo! But he was excited about his "Nimi" costume and all the candy, especially the suckers!
Happy Halloween!!

"Punkin"

Jaxon saw the pumpkins at Smiths on Friday and said "whats that?" And that began an obsession with "punkins"! So that night was the night to paint one! He loved it and did better then I thought he would with paint brushes!
Of course he had to test out how the paint looked on his tummy! :)
But in the end we had a masterpiece! Ok, so Joel helped a little with his name and the stem.We attempted family pictures this weekend.... but Jaxon was not in a "hold still and smile" mood! We got a few decent ones, but I am still deciding which one to use for Christmas cards.. so here is a sneak peak of our serious boy family pictures!
See what I mean???

We tried to cheer him up! :)

What's New....

Not a whole lot!
But here are a few pictures of the fun stuff we have been up to!

I don't remember when the state fair was, but we went up on a Friday night to check it out! Interesting people there to say the least, but we wanted to see the sea lions! I convinced Joel to take Jaxon over to get pictures taken....
How cute right?!?!?! Well to get in there you had to buy THEIR picture! So we did... but I pulled out my camera and snapped as many as I could while they were standing there. Jaxon was not a fan of those sea lions so close and on Dad's head! This is almost the exact picture we paid $15 bucks for..Oh well at least it's a cute memory! :)

NEXT UP...

Our little family at the circus! Jaxon LOVED it! His favorite was probably the motorcycles that go around in that ball... or maybe the elephants... or maybe the lights and music... or maybe the tigers. Ok I don't really know... because he was amazed by it all!! I have literally 400 pictures from that night - but I am too lazy to post them! :)

AND....

A few weeks ago my cousin from Florida was in town! She had never been to Utah, so of course we had to take her up the canyon for tinfoil dinners and smores!Jaxon was in LOVE with her!

FINALLY...

Jaxon got his 18 month pictures done! I couldn't love them anymore! The first picture really makes me realize how grown up he is getting! I know I say this almost every month, but he really is growing up too fast! He is a full blown toddler now and I LOVE IT!! Except this week we have bid farewell to 2 naps a day! We are down to 1 and I have mixed feelings about it! :) It was bound to happen eventually I guess! You will be missed morning nap!

It turned messy really fast!!!
All done! Those are 2 cute messy kids with Stef!We took them both straight to the tub! They thought it was pretty fun to play in there together!

Labor Day Weekend!

Gotta LOVE 3 day weekends! Joel works full time and goes straight to school almost every night. He also has classes on Saturday morning! So our time with him is limited! Well when 3 day weekends come around we make the most of it by squeezing in as many fun things as we can!
This weekend was filled with many FUN firsts.....

~First BYU football game of the season!~
(Which meant wearing his new jersey and playing at Gma and Gpa's house!)

~First CHRISTMAS IN SEPTEMBER!~
(Right before the game Joels parents gave Jaxon his Christmas present early so he can enjoy it before winter comes!)
Sand and Water! So messy but he loves it!!
~First Movie!~
(We took Jaxon to see Toy Story 3! He was in awe of the huge screen and loved the WHOLE movie!)
~First day of Nursery!~
(Joel and Jaxon had matching ties! AW!)My big boy! Im in love with toddler ties! He even left it on the whole time we were at church! First day of nursery was a breeze.. except for the fat lip he got from another little boy! But he didn't even notice mom and dad were gone! He just played like a good boy!

Jaxon is....

18 months today!!
~C.R.A.Z.Y.~
No one could have prepared me for this stage!
I LOVE IT (even though its busy)!!!!!
He loves learning new things.. and he learns fast!
The kid has spunk though...
He tests limits everyday!
But all in all is pretty good.
We have some crazy days around here!
He loves to chase and be chased!

He is sooooo bossy! He likes to grab our pant legs and lead us to where he wants us to sit, or play or whatever that little brain desires! Cardinal sin if we don't follow and behave!
Mister chatter box grows his vocab every day! Recent favs: up, down (referring to stairs), body parts (nose, eyes, ears, bum bum - haha), more, baby, grapes, door, hot, baseball and football (yep he knows the difference), and of course poo poo. He so sweetly informs me when its time for a diaper change!

We went to the doctor today! 3 sad shots.
Weight: 22.5 lbs (10th percentile)
Height: 31.5 in (25th percentile)
Head: 30th percentile
So he is skinny, but getting taller! I love him just the way he is!

We spent most of August sick... either him or I.
That meant lots of lazy days in comfy clothes!
It also meant child boredom because we were quarantined from the world. The result....

TOYS EVERYWHERE! This was 5 minutes after he woke up from a nap (I cleaned up everything while he was sleeping!)

As promised - pictures of our evening up the canyon! Joel made tinfoil dinners and we took my mom and her friend up with us to play and eat! Jaxon loved the dirt, rocks, sticks and of course the "hot" fire!~ "Hot Dada, Hot" ~~ "Coloring" in the dirt ~
~ He would not look at the camera for ANYTHING!
He was too busy exploring and getting dirty! ~
~ Being chased by Abuela! Told you he loves it! I love this picture! ~

Happy 1/2 birthday baby boy! Your dad and I love you to pieces and have so much fun with you! Even though your not a baby I reserve the right to call you that as long as I please! :)

Baby Garrett!!

My dad and his wife Celeste had my baby brother this weekend! Garrett Clinton Roper was born on August 27th at 7:32 pm! He was 8 lbs 15 oz and 20 inches long! He is a chunker but sooooo cute! On Saturday we took Jaxon over to meet his uncle! Haha! He was a little apprehensive at first, and really just wanted to run around the room playing with everyone! But he was so sweet with him!
People ask me if it's weird to have a little half brother 21 years younger then me ... I say kinda... but not really. There are FEW things in life that I don't over-think or over-analyze. Thankfully this is one of them - he is a baby. he is my half brother. I am in love with him. That's it.
Jaxon kept asking to see the baby, once we got there he was not so sure...
He finally warmed up and started asking for the baby again. My dad helped him softly touch his hair! So cute!! He says "niiiicccce" and pets softly. He is such a big boy now when I compare him to a newborn!
Welcome to the world baby Garrett! Yes I will admit it... I am totally baby hungry now! Joel laughs at me.. but he is too! Maybe in a few months... maybe not?!?! :) Who knows!
We went up the canyon tonight for tinfoil dinners and smores!! It was so fun and the weather was perfect! I will put pictures up soon! (I'm too lazy to do it right now)

I take lots of pictures... I mean A LOT of pictures! Hubby also takes a lot of pictures. That combined with the fact that I am obsessed with my little man, leads to really long posts! I apologize... except I don't really mean it.. i love all of my pictures even if you don't! Here are some fun things we have been up to!
~Highland Fling~
Joels parents saved us a great spot for the parade!

~Riding a Horse with Grandpa~
He did NOT want to get off! They rode around for a while!
~Deer Creek Boating~
We went with my Dad and family after work! SO FUN!
~Danielle's wedding!!~
She is Joel's cousin and one of my best friends!

~Bridal Veil Falls~
Sunday Drive with my mom and sister! Lots of people there, but beautiful!I still have a million pictures I want to put up... but this is probably good for now!
