Fresh Air - Saying Good Bye

On Friday, September 11, 2009 my moms beloved older brother passed away. He lived in Venezuela and died peacefully with his family. He is no longer suffering with the disease he had and is a better place now. He was never baptized, but I know he will recieve the opportunity to accept the gospel on the other side. He is and always will be greatly missed. I am so proud of my mom and her whole family for the strength they have shown and how they have all pulled together to get through this together even if they are somewhat seperated from each other. Only my grandma and his immediate family were able to attend the funeral and burial, my mom and her sisters and brothers all live here in the US and did not have time to get there.
I have very few memories of him and hardely even remember meeting him because he lived in Venezuela my whole life. But the pictures I have seen of him and the stories I have heard make me miss him regardless.
On Saturday night Joel and I decided to take my mom up the canyon for tinfoil dinners and to get some fresh air. Thanks hun for all of your work getting the food and fire ready!
It was a beautiful night and while it was still light we played Catch Phrase and just hung out and talked. We had a good time enjoying my mom and trying to help her feel better and help her know she is not alone!

Jaxon was mesmerized by the fire! He loved watching it! It got cool up there, but he was an angel!

This is Joel after he ripped down like half a tree to make something to get our tinfoil dinners out of the fire! haha We even forgot everything that night.. including forks!

Thanks for coming with us mom! It was fun even if we did have to eat in the dark after our lantern died! :)
